Today there are two shrines at Walsingham: the Roman Catholic shrine centered on the Slipper Chapel and the Holy House maintained by the Church of England. There are also two separate feast days: September 24 in the Roman Catholic Church and October 15 in the Anglican Communion.[23][24]
Our Lady of the Rosary[edit]
The apparition of Our Lady of the Rosary is by tradition attributed to Saint Dominic in 1208 in the church of Prouille, in France. According to the attribution, the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Dominic and introduced him to the rosary.[25]
Some sources suggest that Alan de Rupe (rather than Saint Dominic) was the major influence on the rosary in the 15th century, while other sources seek a middle ground to these two views.[26][27] For centuries, Dominicans became instrumental in spreading the rosary and emphasizing the Catholic belief in the power of the rosary.[28]
In 1571 Pope Pius V instituted "Our Lady of Victory" as an annual feast to commemorate the victory of Lepanto, the victory being attributed to Our Lady. In 1969, Pope Paul VI changed the name of the feast to Our Lady of the Rosary.[29]
Our Lady of Mount Carmel[edit]
The Blessed Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to Saint Simon Stock, who was Prior General of the Carmelite Order in the mid 13th century.[30] The earliest reference to the tradition of his Marian apparition, dating from the late 14th century, states that "St. Simon was an Englishman, a man of great holiness and devotion, who always in his prayers asked the Virgin to favor his Order with some singular privilege. The Virgin appeared to him holding the Brown Scapular in her hand saying, 'This is for you and yours a privilege; the one who dies in it will be saved.'"[31] A scapular is an apron-like garment that forms part of the Carmelite religious habit,[32] and in the original context the Blessed Virgin Mary's promise was an assurance that religious who persevered in their vocation would be saved; beginning in the latter half of the 16th century the small devotional scapular became very popular as a sacramental.[31]

They are recognized based on the papal declaration of the feast day rather than formal analysis by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

Our Lady's Rosary Makers has since distributed hundreds of millions of free rosaries to Catholic missions worldwide.

Bien mais peut mieux faire.

Bien mais s'éteint tout seul quand est dans la poche (le fait moins si on le verrouille mais alors, il faut retaper le code sécurité à chaque utilisation). Le volet obturateur de l'appareil photo s'ouvre tout seul dans une poche un peu serrée. Le GPS n'est pas pratique à l'utilisation (pas d'écran tactile pour déplacer la carte) et n'est pas aussi gratuit qu'il y parait : en effet, quelques centimes d'euros sont payés à chaque début de connexion (je suis chez Orange). Au bout d'un an d'utilisation, la batterie tient tout au plus 2 jours en veille, avec un trajet de 200 km. En mode hors connexion, en voiture, ça se vide quand même alors qu'on s'attendrait à faire des économies de batterie. Appareil acheté sans reconduction de forfait (Orange n'offrant que 17 euros malgré des milliers de points, sur 345 euros à l'achat). Au final, un achat que je regrette. J'avais retourné le premier SGH 810 qui avait des problèmes, je n'aurais pas dû insister.

Je possède le SGH-G810 depuis septembre 2008 et je ne suis pas du tout d'accord avec le commentaire précédent, je n'ai jamais changé la batterie et elle tient encore 2-3 jours.
